Lyndale Park Rose Garden

I don’t know that Minneapolis can get any more picturesque than the Lyndale Park Rose Garden for photoshoots. This area is the second oldest rose garden in the country and gives you over 3,000 plants across 1.5 acres. As you walk along the paths, you are going to see roses of every shade and variety. They’ll serve as the perfect backdrop for your family portraits! 

Arneson Acres 

4711 W. 70th Street, Edina, Minnesota 55424

With over 28 lush acres, this photoshoot location gives you so many great Minneapolis options for your portraits. Throughout the area, you’ll find gardens with daylilies, wildflowers, and formal gardens. If you come here in May, you’ll get to see the crabapple tree blossoms on full display! I’m also a fan of using the gazebo throughout your session. 

Como 

1225 Estabrook Drive, St. Paul, Minnesota 55103

Como Park is a beautifully landscaped photoshoot location just outside of Minneapolis in St. Paul. The outside is landscaped with verdant perennials, and there’s a lake that serves as the dreamiest backdrop. The glass conservatory is a favorite for people looking to add a bit of rich architectural texture to their pictures. Bonus: once you’re done with your pics, you can stick around and check out their amazing animals! It’s the perfect bribery to help you get your kids through the session. 

Noerenberg Gardens

2865 N Shore Dr, Wayzata, Minnesota 55391

The Noerenberg Gardens is located along the banks of Lake Minnetonka. Because this photoshoot location is so tranquil, it’s quickly become one of the best wedding venues in the Minneapolis area. There is a great combination of formal gardens and wildflowers, plus there is a gazebo that overlooks the water. You’ll also want to snap some pics inside the pavilion with the Grecian columns. 

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

3675 Arboretum Dr, Chaska, Minnesota 55318

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a seriously impressive garden that rests on over 1,000 acres. This area really does have everything! Throughout the spring, you can catch the gardens in full bloom. Once fall hits, the leaves transform into fiery shades perfect for autumnal photo sessions. They even have a waterfall!
